I'm watching it right now. Lovely altruistic idea. A millionaire goes undercover in a deprived area and at the end of the show gives a large wad of dosh to deserving recipients.
The voice over after every ad break reminds us that the millionaire is undercover. This weeks millionaire is posing as a street warden.
How many street wardens have a fucking camera crew following them around? Completely nuts. But I like it. I know it's a huge fake but I don't care. Would I watch it again? Possibly. It's life affirming TV and that's rare enough to make me forgive the fakery.

yup watching it now, and boy is it fake. every interaction seems like it was planned months in advance in a board room. But you're absolutely right, the show is still inspiring.
This show is a sadistic way for tyrants to feed off of the poor even more, by gaining rating from the fat ass hard working american sitting on there ass at night with nothing better to do than watch dream created by some rich asshole. I mean whos taping this crap? Plus the girl that had cancer looks right into the camera, this pisses me off, but reassures the fact that Americans are stupid lazy shitheads and thats why we will be in a recession for a long time.
